For semi-trailer-coupled vehicles and full-trailer-coupled vehicles, there are two exceptions: gross weight exception and length exception. (Article 1, Paragraph 2 of the Ministerial Ordinance Stipulating Procedures for Vehicle Passage Permits, etc.)
Total weight exception
The gross weight exception is limited to the following five special models.

Special length exceptions
The length exception is limited to semi-trailer-coupled vehicles and full-trailer-coupled vehicles that travel on national highways, and where the loaded cargo does not protrude to the front or rear of the towed vehicle.
