Regarding the special measures to establish temporary business areas for charter buses in order to respond to the demand for charter buses for foreign tourists visiting Japan, it is important to note that the number of foreign tourists visiting Japan is expected to increase in the future, and that this system will be utilized. In light of the continued safety measures being taken by charter bus operators, we have decided to extend the approval period for this system by one year.

Implemented by the Japan Bus Association (Public Corporation)Chartered bus operator safety evaluation certification system” (Safety Bus) and has no problems in terms of legal compliance.
Range that can be set as a temporary business area
(a) Jurisdictional area (regional block) of the Transport Bureau that has jurisdiction over the prefecture where the business office is located (b) Prefectures adjacent to the prefecture where the business office is located, regardless of the jurisdiction of the Transport Bureau
*Usual business area is the prefecture where the office is located (point of departure or destination)

Businesses that have already been approved for this measure by the end of March 29 do not need to apply for new approval.
