Credit purchase mediation refers to the condition that a consumer purchases a product, etc. from a specific sales company (member store), and a credit company (credit purchase broker) transfers the price of the product to the sales company on behalf of the consumer. This is a transaction in which the consumer makes an advance payment to the credit card company and later pays the amount to the credit company over a period of more than two months. (Article 2 (Definition) of the Installment Sales Act)

Credit purchase intermediaries are divided into two categories: (1) comprehensive credit purchase intermediaries and (2) individual credit purchase intermediaries.

Furthermore, (10) Comprehensive credit purchase intermediation is divided into (a) registered comprehensive credit purchase intermediary (a person who operates comprehensive credit purchase intermediation as a business) and (b) registered small amount comprehensive credit purchase intermediary (among "comprehensive credit purchase intermediation"). The maximum amount is classified into two categories: those operating a business whose maximum amount is less than the amount specified by government ordinance (XNUMX yen).

Furthermore, among the "Registered Comprehensive Credit Purchase Intermediaries", businesses that have been certified as businesses that use each company's credit screening method instead of "Investigation of Expected Comprehensive Payment Amount" will be classified as Certified Comprehensive Credit Purchase Intermediaries. .


As of the end of October 7, there were 11 registered comprehensive credit purchasing intermediaries (of which three are certified), two registered small-amount comprehensive credit purchasing intermediaries, and 241 registered individual credit purchasing intermediaries.
