Electrician business registration

To run an electrical construction business, you must register with the prefectural governor or the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry based on the Electrical Construction Business Law.
In addition, even if you are a licensed construction business operator, you must submit a ``deemed registration notification'' if you operate an electrical work business.
What is electrical work?
This refers to electrical work stipulated in Article 2, Paragraph 3 of the Electrician Act, and refers to work that installs or changes general electrical facilities or private electrical facilities.
What is a general electric workpiece?
Refers to electrical facilities stipulated in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Electrician Act.
Generally speaking, this applies to indoor wiring equipment in general homes, shops, etc.
What is a private electrical work?
Refers to electrical facilities stipulated in Article 2, Paragraph 2 of the Electrician Act.
Generally speaking, it is a facility with a maximum power demand of less than 500KW, and this applies to facilities such as small and medium-sized buildings.
Where to submit application/notification forms
The application destination differs depending on the location of the business office (head office, branch office, sales office, sub-office, etc.).
If all management related to electrical work is carried out by a subordinate organization such as a branch or sales office, it does not fall under the category of a sales office.

□If the business office spans two or more prefectures but is within the area of one Industrial Safety Supervision Department ⇒ Application to the Industrial Safety Supervision Department
□If the office straddles two or more Industrial Safety Supervision Department areas ⇒ Application to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry
