In order to establish a religious corporation, a religious organization as defined in the Religious Corporations Act must already exist and be active.

In addition, they are required to meet the requirements stipulated by the Religious Corporations Law.

If any of the requirements are missing, the corporation must be reorganized or dissolved.

Religious organization requirements

The Religious Corporations Act defines the following requirements for religious organizations.

In order to become a corporation, it must meet these requirements and have a facility for worship.

・Spread the doctrine

・Perform ritual events

・Educating and nurturing believers

Requirements for establishing a religious corporation

In order for a religious organization to become a religious corporation, it must further meet the following requirements:

Religious group activities have been carried out continuously for a considerable number of years.

・The religious organization has a full-time clergyman.

・There must be a considerable number of adult believers.

・Spreading doctrine and performing ritual events

・Educating and nurturing believers

・Place three or more responsible officers and appoint one of them as the representative officer.

After meeting the requirements as a religious corporation, we receive guidance from the competent authority for approximately three years, and after confirming that there are no problems, we will decide whether or not to approve it.
