Advantages and disadvantages of establishing a religious corporation
In Japan, there are no particular restrictions on religious activities.
Currently, there are only a few things that organizations that engage in religious activities can do unless they become religious corporations.
Is there really a need to make it a religious corporation? I think there are many organizations that are worried about this.
Therefore, I have listed the advantages and disadvantages of religious corporations.

Benefits
☑Since you can enter into a contract under your corporate name, your credibility will increase.
☑In the case of privately owned land and buildings, there is a risk that they may become unusable due to inheritance, etc., but by turning the land and buildings into a religious corporation, they can continue their activities.
☑Religious income is exempt from taxation. (However, business income is taxed.)
☑Disbanding, relocating, disposing of assets, etc. are not allowed for the convenience of specific individuals and are monitored, thereby protecting the material and spiritual interests of believers.
☑You will be able to manage graveyards and interment services.
Drawbacks
☑They must create rules based on the Religious Corporations Act and operate in accordance with those rules.
You will not be able to move freely, dispose of property, expand or remodel, purchase property, etc.
☑We need to cultivate believers and keep records of them.
☑List of believers. There are many books that need to be kept, such as donation details, income and expenditure budget/income and expenditure statements, and meeting minutes.
