The residence status that a representative of a branch office in Japan obtains is either ① intra-company transferee or ② management/management.
Representatives in Japan generally obtain (1) an intra-company transfer visa, but if they meet the following requirements, they may also apply for a (2) business/management visa.
・The scale of the Japanese branch is large.
・The branch representative in Japan has a certain degree of discretion.
・The duties of the branch representative in Japan correspond to business management activities.
The residence status of branch employees is either 1) ``Specialist in Humanities/International Services'' or ``Technical'' or 2) a visa depending on the nature of the business.
