Points to note regarding treatment improvement additions

Updated: July 2026, 2

Points to keep in mind when revising wages

Treatment improvement additions are paid as a percentage according to the amount of remuneration at the workplace, but wages must be improved in excess of this additional amount.

Specific example: If a business office is paid 100 million yen as a treatment improvement bonus, the business office will pay the directly-treated employees “basic salary + treatment improvement bonus amount (100 million yen will be used up by all directly-treated employees)”

+Further increase in wages at offices” must be carried out.

In other words, it is not sufficient to directly pay only the treatment improvement bonus to the employees, and the business establishment also needs to increase the base of their existing wages.

Please note that if the wage improvement at the workplace is less than the amount paid as a treatment improvement addition, the whole amount paid as a treatment improvement addition, not the difference, will be refunded as a fraudulent claim.

About those eligible for payment

The treatment improvement addition does not apply to all employees working at the company.

Who is eligible for the distribution?“Directly treated staff”Only.

Q.Who are the direct treatment staff?

→In the case of employment support, those who are directly engaged in supporting users are eligible, such as ``vocational instructors,'' ``life support workers,'' ``employment support workers,'' and ``target wage achievement instructors.''

In other words, it is important to note that "corporate representatives," "managers," "service managers," and other occupations that do not meet the personnel standards are considered to be providing indirect support and are not eligible for payment.

*However, if a person in a job that is not eligible for payment concurrently holds a job that is eligible (such as a manager and vocational instructor), he or she will be eligible for distribution.

About how to allocate

Treatment improvement additions are given to directly treated employees.Doesn't have to be distributed evenlyThat is the point.

Therefore, depending on your rank, it can be included in your basic salary or paid separately as a treatment improvement allowance.

If we go even further, it would be possible to pay the full amount to one person based solely on the company's decision.

However, with this treatment improvement addition, there is a duty to inform welfare and nursing care staff, so if an unbalanced distribution method is used, it is necessary to report in a way that other staff can understand and accept.
