As of December 1, 2025, the size of the signs (Form No. 9) that real estate agents display in their offices and information centers has been revised as follows.

The vertical width has been reduced by 5cm, making it possible to display the notice in a more compact manner than before.
There will be no change to the display content, but if you have the old size displayed in your office, we recommend that you replace it as soon as possible.

From April 1, 2026, the obligation to provide explanations regarding transactions involving condominium buildings as trust beneficiary rights will be strengthened.

■ Cases where explanation is required

If all of the following conditions apply, an explanation from a real estate agent is required.

  • Real estate bought and sold as "trust beneficiary rights"
  • The trust property is a "condominium building"
  • The apartment complex in question uses the "management company manager system"

As the number of properties held as trust beneficiaries and the system of appointing a management company as manager increases, additional explanations have been added to prevent problems caused by buyers' lack of understanding.

In line with the amendment to the Apartment Building Reconstruction Facilitation Act, the Real Estate Brokerage Business Act Enforcement Order will also be amended.
(Effective April 1, 2020)

■ Main revisions

  • Review of advertising start time restrictions
    → Depending on the progress of the reconstruction project, excessively early advertising will be restricted.
  • Establishment of regulations for important matters explanation documents
    → Strengthening information provision regarding reconstruction projects

For businesses dealing with newly built condominiums, it is even more important to consider advertising schedules.

This amendment requires the following measures:

✔ Replacement of sign (vendor tag)

This came into effect in December 2025. Please check to make sure that the old standards are not still being displayed.

✔ Update of important information document

Added explanatory items corresponding to condominium buildings that have been converted into trust beneficiary rights and administrator management methods.

✔ Reconfirm advertising start time rules

Advertising standards for apartment reconstruction projects have been tightened.
