④ Labor-saving product manufacturer registration

If a manufacturer that is already registered wishes to register a new labor-saving product in the same category as a labor-saving product that has already been registered, it is not necessary to register again as a manufacturer.

Once you have submitted your product registration application and the product has been registered, you will receive an account issuance email.

If a manufacturer wishes to have their product cataloged, they must submit an application for catalog registration of their labor-saving product to the Secretariat.

To register as a manufacturer, you must meet the following requirements:

basic matters

1. The company must be registered in Japan and conduct business in Japan.
2. Not having been subject to any subsidy suspension measures or bid suspension measures from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry or the Japan Small and Medium Enterprise Agency
3. If you are requested to cooperate with on-site inspections when applying for grants or reporting performance, you must cooperate, and agree that your registration will be cancelled if you do not cooperate.

Matters related to management base, supply and support systems

1. The company has a sufficient business base to be able to continue producing the product during the registration period.
2. Ensure that a system is in place to supply and support each of the registered labor-saving products.
3. If it is determined that it will be impossible to fulfill this demand due to an unexpected change in order status, the company will contact the secretariat and take appropriate measures, such as temporarily suspending the catalog listing until the situation is restored.

Matters concerning project implementation

1. Cooperate as much as possible with information sessions held by the secretariat and measures related to this project involving the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Japan SME Corporation, and work to publicize the subsidy project, such as by responding to inquiries from businesses considering introducing labor-saving products.
2. If there are a large number of applications in which the effects based on labor-saving indicators reported by subsidized businesses during the effect reporting period fall below the labor-saving standards for the relevant product category without a valid reason, you agree that the registration of the labor-saving product or the registration of the manufacturer may be cancelled.
3. Agree to submit the number of units manufactured and the amount of sales of the labor-saving product during the effect reporting period from the start of sales (or from the previous five years if more than five years ago), as well as indicators of business status (items stated in the financial statements).
4. You agree that if new conditions are added to the registration guidelines in the future, the Secretariat will check whether already registered labor-saving products meet those conditions, and that if they do not, their registration may be cancelled.

1. The functions possessed by the product match the business domain of the target industry of small and medium-sized enterprises etc. that are expected to use the product, as set out in the product category to which the product belongs.
3. If there are a large number of applications in which the effects based on labor-saving indicators reported by subsidized businesses during the effect reporting period fall below the labor-saving standards for the relevant product category without a valid reason, you agree that the registration of the labor-saving product or the registration of the manufacturer may be cancelled.
4. Agree to submit the number of units manufactured and the amount of sales of the labor-saving product during the effect reporting period from the start of sales (or from the previous five years if more than five years ago), as well as indicators of business status (items stated in the financial statements).
5. I agree that if new conditions are added to the registration guidelines in the future, the secretariat will check whether already registered labor-saving products meet those conditions, and if they do not, the registration may be cancelled.
6. It is not permitted to selectively apply for each component included in the package. All components must be included in the product registration.
7. The product must not be a standalone product that does not operate or provide a labor-saving effect. If the product does not operate or provide a labor-saving effect on its own, it must be registered as a system that provides a labor-saving effect.

Product performance and price

1. The labor-saving effect is calculated according to the labor-saving index set by the representative industry of small and medium-sized enterprises that are expected to use the product in the product category to which the product belongs, and the effect exceeds the set standard value.
2. The price of the product itself must be 500,000 yen or more. In addition, the price must not be significantly higher than the maximum subsidy amount of this subsidy.
3. The delivery record price submitted at the time of product registration must be economically reasonable and not deviate from the market price. If it is discovered after registration that the delivery record price submitted significantly differs from other delivery records, the product registration may be cancelled.

Matters concerning maintenance and support systems

1. In order to ensure that the labor-saving products for which registration is applied contribute to improving productivity and labor savings, a maintenance and support system for the labor-saving products must be established in the areas where they are expected to be delivered, and the labor-saving products introduced by the subsidized business operators must be thoroughly maintained and managed to prevent operational problems, etc.
2. Provide documents proving that you have a maintenance and support system, and pledge to provide maintenance and support, including through your distributor, if an operational failure occurs during the disposal restriction period.
3. If the area in which you can provide maintenance and support does not cover the whole of Japan, when you sell labor-saving products to small and medium-sized enterprises under this subsidy, you must only deliver to business establishments within that area and state this fact when applying for catalog registration.

Requirements not covered

1. Products that are not yet complete and require further development
2. Software only
3. It is not expected to be used on a regular basis.
   (Those intended for temporary use in emergencies, etc., or whose contribution to improving productivity is limited)
4. The product does not provide labor savings by itself, and does not contribute to work efficiency or labor savings unless used in combination with other products, etc.
   (When a product is inseparable or when it is more effective when used with peripheral devices, the minimum necessary components are registered as one package.)
5. It does not aim to reduce labor, but only contributes to increasing added value.
6. Products that are significantly more expensive than the subsidy ceiling amount or products costing less than 500,000 yen
7. Products that are expected to be used for the purpose of expanding the functions or improving the performance of existing products, etc.
8. The product itself is a business that does not lead to improved efficiency or reduced workload for manual operations.
9. Items for which special conditions are expected to be imposed when selecting a sales destination or deciding whether or not to sell the item
