The following expenses are not eligible for assistance:

• The cost of the labor-saving product that is actually borne by the customer of the subsidized business is included in the cost of the labor-saving product (the cost that the secretariat judges to be equivalent to the cost of raw materials for the subsidized business to make a prototype)
• Items provided externally free of charge
• Second-hand goods
• Labor-saving products purchased before the grant was approved
• Interest and insurance premiums incurred when a target leasing company enters into a lease agreement with a small or medium-sized enterprise, etc.
• Taxes and public dues (consumption tax)
• Any other items that the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency, Japan SME Corporation, and the Secretariat deem inappropriate based on the purpose and intent of this program.

Maximum subsidy for installation and setup costs

• Costs for substitute work for regular business operations of subsidized businesses, etc.
• Transportation and accommodation expenses
• Outsourcing and subcontracting costs
• The actual costs borne by the subsidized business's customers are included in the installation and setup costs.
