To obtain a spouse visa, you need to go through six steps to apply to the Ministry of Justice and the Immigration Bureau.

It will take about 4 months in total.

On average, it takes about 4 months, so please be careful if you are in a hurry.

★Procedure from obtaining a spouse visa to entering Japan (when bringing a spouse to Japan from overseas)

STEP1 Complete international marriage procedures

STEP 2 Examination by Ministry of Justice/Immigration Bureau: Approximately 2 to 3 months

STEP 3 Get the Certificate of Eligibility

STEP 4: Bring your Certificate of Eligibility to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or overseas embassy for visa examination.

STEP 5 Get a VISA on your passport

STEP 6 Get a residence card when entering the country
