Submission of citizenship certificate

My name is Uemura, and I am in charge of naturalization at the Nagoya branch.

 

If you are a Chinese national, you will need to submit a certificate of nationality when applying for naturalization.

A citizenship certificate is a document that states that you will automatically renounce your Chinese nationality if you become naturalized.

Only you can apply, and it takes about a week from application to receipt, so you will need to go to the embassy or consulate twice, once to apply and once to receive it. This can be very difficult for people who live or work far away.

At our Nagoya branch, we provide support by creating schedules that minimize the burden on our customers, such as by handling the receipt of nationality certificates on our behalf.
