If the person applying for permanent residence has a family member who is Japanese or has permanent resident status, please note that not only the applicant's documents but also the family's documents are required.
In the past, only the applicant's documents were required, but recently, family documents are often requested.
The following four family documents are mainly required, but if your family members are minors, a health insurance card is all you need.
Resident tax taxation certificate and tax payment certificate
If the applicant is a dependent and the family is a dependent, the family's tax certificate and tax certificate are required.
In that case, you will need one each of the residence tax certificate for the most recent three years and the tax payment certificate (which shows the year's total income and tax payment status).
Conversely, if your family is a dependent, you will need a tax exemption certificate for the family.
You can receive this document at your local government office.
Depending on the city, ward, town or village, there are cases where it is not possible to issue a three-year tax certificate, so in that case, please obtain a long-term certificate if possible.
National tax payment certificate (part 3)
This is to certify that there is no unpaid national tax as of the certification date, so there is no need to specify the target period.
This certificate can be issued at your local tax office.
Copy of health insurance card or national health insurance card
A copy of your family's National Health Insurance or Health Insurance card is required.
If you are not currently enrolled in health insurance or national health insurance, please submit proof of insurance premium payment or receipt for the most recent two years.
If it is difficult to submit a copy of your health insurance card, etc., you must submit a written statement stating the reason.
Documents proving the payment status of public pension premiums
Person in charge: Nasa Sakamoto
Documents certifying the payment status of the most recent (past two years) public pension insurance premiums, such as receipts for national pension insurance premiums, are required.
If you are enrolled in multiple public pension systems, please submit documents related to each.
In addition to the above, you may be asked for other documents if necessary, so please follow the instructions.
