How becoming a working parent changed the way I see things

Hello. This is Ohara from the Nagoya branch.

This spring, I returned to work after about a year of childcare leave.

As the date for returning to work drew closer, I became anxious about whether I would be able to function properly, but my daily routine has gradually settled and I feel like I will be able to manage somehow.

During my maternity leave, there were days when I felt dizzy from lack of sleep, but I feel that it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to slowly watch my child grow up up close.

Immediately after returning, it felt fresh to be typing and attending meetings for the first time in a while, but thanks to my colleagues who continue to encourage me as before and my team who supports my work, I am gradually getting back into the swing of things.

Since becoming a working parent, I have come to feel that the world around me has changed.

Now that I have a limit of "pick up by a certain time," I feel like I've become better at "concentrating within the time frame." I've started thinking about how to do things within the limited time I have, even if I would have put them off until now. Also, looking back at my team, I've come to realize that "it's amazing to work while raising children." I feel like I can imagine the feelings of members with children more than before.

There are still things that don't go as planned, but I hope to be able to be myself both at home and at work.

Nice to meet you.
